Brian Daccord

Brian Daccord (born August 18, 1964 in Montreal , Québec ) is a former Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper and current coach .

Career

In the 1985/86 season Daccord was active as a goalkeeper at Merrimack College . In 1986 he moved to the Swiss National League A for HC Ambrì-Piotta . There he played until his preliminary retirement in 1992; during this time the club reached the playoffs every season.

For the 1992/93 season he switched to coaching and became an assistant coach at Merrimack College. He held this position until the end of the following season. In the 1994/95 season he played two more games for HC Friborg-Gottéron in the National League A.

In 1999 Daccord became an assistant coach at Saint Anselm College . From 2000 to 2002 he was goalkeeping coach with the Boston Bruins . Daccord has been the Adler Mannheim goalkeeping coach since 2010 .

In 1998 his book Hockey Goaltending was published.

Brian Daccord is the founder and president of Stop It Goaltending , a training and development facility for goalkeepers.
