Brian Locking

Brian Locking (born December 22, 1938 in Bedford , United Kingdom ) is an English bass guitarist.

In April 1962, he replaced Jet Harris on bass guitar with the Shadows . After only 19 months, he left the group to have more time to spread his religious beliefs as a Jehovah's Witness . In 1968 he returned for a short time as a replacement for John Rostill , who was in a nervous crisis . Afterwards, Locking worked occasionally as a studio musician .

Locking was nicknamed "Licorice".
