Letter (unit)

With letter , also with Glufen , a piece of measure for pins and sewing needles , but also for hairpins was designated. The packet of tobacco , regardless of the type of tobacco, was also referred to as a letter . A quarter to a pound of tobacco wrapped in paper and sealed was the amount of the letter.
