Brigitte Sauer

Brigitte Sauer (born September 18, 1948 in Bremen ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1999 to 2007 she was a member of the Bremen Parliament .

biography

education and profession

Sauer completed a commercial apprenticeship in wholesale and foreign trade from 1963 to 1966. She then worked as a transport insurance clerk for ten years, with a two-year break to raise children. She has been a housewife since 1978.

She is married and has two kids.

politics

Sauer joined the CDU in 1993. From 1995 to 1999 she was a member of the advisory board at the Osterholz local office, and from 1996 to 1999 she was the advisory board spokesperson. She is the deputy chairwoman of the CDU district of Osterholz.

In the 1999 general election she was elected to the Bremen citizenry. Her focus was on health and labor market policy. In 2003 she was re-elected and chaired the Petitions Committee of the Bremen Citizenship. In 2007 she left parliament.

In July 2008, the Osterholz Advisory Board elected her as an expert citizen to the Committee for Education and Culture. In the elections in May 2011 she was re-elected as a member of the advisory board at the Osterholz local office.
