Brigitte Servatius

Brigitte Servatius (born September 16, 1944 ) is a German local politician ( SPD ).

Career

Servatius was a teacher at a secondary school. In the mayoral election in Gauting in 1996, she failed in the first ballot and was then deputy mayor. Six years later she won the local elections against Georg von Aretin ( CSU ) and Martin Zeil ( FDP ) and became first mayor of Gauting. In 2008 she was confirmed in office.

In the mayor election in 2014, she could no longer run for reasons of age. Brigitte Kössinger (CSU) was elected as her successor .

She withdrew her plans to run for the 2013 state elections for health reasons.
