Brigitte Kössinger

Brigitte Kössinger (born December 24, 1955 in Munich ) is a German local politician ( CSU ).

Career

Kössinger studied law and received his doctorate in 1992 from the University of Munich . From 2013 to 2015 she was the local chairman of the CSU in Gauting . In May 2013 she was nominated for the mayoral election in spring 2014. In the runoff election on March 30, 2014, she prevailed with 63% against Wolfgang Meiler (citizen in Gauting). In the mayoral election on March 29, 2020, Kössinger again won the runoff election with 50.3% against Hans Wilhelm Knape ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) with 49.7%.

Activities as mayor

The projects that were tackled in her first term of office include the new community center in Stockdorf, a new building for the Gautinger Tafel and the renovation of a wing of the former secondary school, where now the music school, homework supervision for foreign children and the school of the imagination. Kössinger also names the expansion of childcare and the new craftsman's farm as achievements, as well as the renovation of the Stockdorf train station and the new construction of the Caritas nursing home.
