history

Britannia Theater was founded in East Berlin in 1992. The founding members were Stefan Dardaski, Jakob Enderlein, Jörg Herrmann, Alexander Krohn and Matthias Kuhl. The drums were unoccupied when it was founded and were played by Kai Kastura and Hans Narva for the first few weeks. Then Sascha Andert took over the post until 1995. Benno Verch was his successor. In April 1998 the band broke up. On the occasion of a funeral service for the death of the graphic artist Ole Christiansen in December 2018, Britannia Theater played together again after more than 20 years and was founded again. Bassist Stefan Dadarski died on March 13, 2020, after which Hans Narva returned to the band. Alexander Lode has been playing the drums since the reunion.

In the history of the band, Britannia Theater released a live recording of their concert in Denmark, three studio albums and played over 100 concerts in six countries.
