Alexander Krohn

Alexander Krohn (* 1971 in East Berlin ) is a German musician , writer and artist .

Life

From 1987 to 1989, Alexander Krohn was part of the young Pankow anarcho scene as the guitarist of the punk band Background . In 1988, Alexander Krohn was significantly involved in the Ossietzky affair at his high school. From 1989 he traveled around the world. Since 1992 he has been the head of the Berlin band Britannia Theater , which released 3 albums and 2 singles by 1997. On May 30, 1995 the premiere of the art film Red Trafic Lights by Britannia Theater took place in Berlin's Tränenpalast . He continued to work a. a. with the musicians, writers and artists Bruno Adams , Hugo Race , Phil Shoenfelt , Bert Papenfuß , Thomas Kapielski , Florian Günther , Marc Groeszer, tarwater . In 1999 the record label Distillery was founded and in 2000 his first solo album "Thunder Songs" was released. Distillery has also been publishing books since 2002 . Since then, Krohn has worked in various music projects ( Horsemen, Majong ) and composed music for radio plays.

In 2003 he released his second solo album Chowringhee Blues , which he recorded in various studios around the world, for example in Calcutta , Bangkok , Perth , Kuala Lumpur and Sanremo . He was the initiator of the Aktion Kohlenberta concert tour through Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria. Since 2005 he has organized various art exhibitions. In 2006 he interviewed the Palestinian organizations PPP, PFLP , DFLP , Fatah , Hamas and Islamic Jihad with Evamaria Haupt . Together with Kai Pohl, he has been the founder of the epidemic of the arts and publisher of the magazine floppy myriapoda since 2006 . From 2004 to 2007, Krohn studied philosophy at the Humboldt University in Berlin. In 2013 the album Dear Mister Singing Club was released with Bernd Jetstream and Ronald Lippok. In addition to his work as a publisher and music producer, Alexander Krohn is active in Berlin as an artist, writer, musician and philosopher.
