The British Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery , abbreviated Br. J. Oral Maxillofac. Surg. or BJOMS, is a scientific journal published by Churchill Livingstone-Blackwell-Verlag on behalf of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons . The journal was founded in 1963 under the name British Journal of Oral Surgery and changed to the current name in 1984. It appears eight issues a year. Papers are published that deal with surgical topics in the mouth, jaw, head and neck.
