The 1956/57 season was the third season of the British National League , the highest British ice hockey league . The champions became the Wembley Lions .

In the main round, each of the five teams played a total of 32 games. The first place in the main round was champion. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
