Britta Kautz

Britta Kautz (* 1982 or 1983) is a German wheelchair basketball player .

Career

Britta Kautz comes from Lindlar in the Rhineland. She attended the Engelbert von Berg high school in Wipperfürth , which she left with the Abitur in 2002. She is a teacher by profession.

She is a wheelchair user. Nevertheless, she did not want to do without a sporting activity and therefore chose wheelchair basketball as her sport. She became a member of ASB Bonn and was soon appointed to the German national team for basketball in a wheelchair. In 2008 she became a member of the German team at the Paralympic Summer Games in Beijing , reached the final with her team, but lost to the USA and won the silver medal.

The German wheelchair basketball team was successful at the 2006 World Championships: Britta Kautz won the bronze medal with her. On January 1, 2009, she moved from Bonn to Hesse and became a member of RGV Lahn / Dill. But she also continued to play in the German women's wheelchair basketball team, with which she became European champion in 2009.
