Brixia Leonessa Nuoto

Brixia Leonessa Nuoto is an Italian swimming and water polo club from the city of Brescia in Lombardy .

history

The Sport Club Brescia created a water polo department in the early 1970s. From 1973 to 1995 the association was called Associazione Nuotatori Brescia , before it adopted the lioness as its emblem and since 1995 it has been called Leonessa Nuoto Pallanuoto .

In 1989, club member Giorgio Lamberti was three times European champion in freestyle swimming and held the world record in the 200 m freestyle for ten years .
