Brixworth is a village and a local government district in District Daventry in the English county of Northamptonshire . In 2001 there were 5162 inhabitants and in 2011 there were 5,228 inhabitants.

The 7th century All Saints' Church

The village is located around 8 km north of Northampton on A-class road 508. To the east of the village is the Pitsford Reservoir (~ 6.7 km²). One of the oldest, largest and best preserved Anglo-Saxon churches in the country, the All Saints' Church, which was completed around the year 680, is located in the village. Many people live in Brixworth who work in London or Birmingham. The motorways M1 , M6 and M14 offer good transport links. The place is near the cities of Peterborough and Leicester .

The Brixworth area was previously known for iron ore quarries. From 1859 to 1981 there was the Northampton – Market Harborough line ; it passed west of the village. British Railways closed Brixworth Station in 1960; since 1981 the route has not been used for freight traffic either . The approximately 22 km long Brampton Valley Way has been running on the railway line since 1993 . A 2.4 km long stretch of the line has been reactivated as a museum railway ( Northampton and Lamport Railway ).

Today the rural area around Brixworth is home to some high-tech companies, including Ilmor Engineering and Mercedes-Benz HighPerformanceEngines .

There is a football club in Brixworth called Brixworth Juniors Football Club.
