The Broder Volksreigen ( Croatian Brodsko kolo ) is the oldest folklore festival in Croatia . It takes place annually from June 2nd to 17th in the Slavonian city ​​on the Save, Slavonski Brod .

history

The Broder Volksreigen was founded in 1963 and offers an extensive program with presentations. This folk dance maintains the tradition of more than four decades of the traditional cultural heritage of traditional culture and folk art. Until 1990 the folk dance was called Đuro Đaković , which was then renamed Brodsko kolo .

The seat of the folk dance is on Radnički trg 5 in Slavonski Brod, where rehearsals for Slavonian art and ethnographic exhibitions take place. Traditionally, towards the end of this cultural event, the most beautiful Croatian woman in a folk costume is named.

The Broder Volksreigens ensemble consists of around 300 members who are divided into different groups. The groups are divided into the younger children's ensemble (5 to 7 years), the older children's ensemble (8 to 12 years) and the representative ensemble (high school and university students), which is responsible for representing their city and tradition at many events and tours around the world World participate.
