Bronti supersaurs

Bronti Supersaurs is a children's book series written by Thomas Brezina . The first books were illustrated by Reinhard Kiesel and published in 1991 by Breitschopf-Verlag . In 2016 the series was reissued by G&G Verlag . This time the illustrator is Pablo Tambuscio .

action

Tina and her uncle Nikki get into an underground ice cave during a ski trip, where they find a frozen, little dinosaur. They take this home with them, where it thaws and awakens to new life. Later they find a frozen pterosaur in the same cave , which they also eat. Despite the vow to keep the existence of both animals to themselves, other people also learn of the dinosaurs, and not all of them are of good intentions.

main characters

• Bronti: This little dinosaur survived the mass extinction in the Cretaceous Period because it was frozen in a cave. Now he lives with the Flatterfreund family and thanks to an animal language translation computer he can speak in his hollow tooth. Bronti sleeps in a spagetthi saucepan and prefers to eat pudding and French fries. Tina calls him Bronti because his real name is too difficult to pronounce.
• Tina: She is Bronti's best friend. While her parents are in America, she lives with her uncle Nikki. It can be seen from the books that she is not a good athlete.
• Uncle Nikki: Nikki's flutter friend is Tina's uncle and, given that she bears the same name, obviously her father's brother. He owns a small pet shop. Bronti's adventures and ideas often drive him almost to despair.
• Flatterox: This pterosaur is Bronti's best friend. He was frozen in the same ice cave as Bronti. He, too, speaks human language through an animal language translation computer on his beak. Flatterox prefers to spend his time sleeping, hanging upside down like a bat. He also has the ability to dive into the past by making a high-pitched scream.
• Professor Karacho: This scientist invented the animal language translation computer that Bronti and Flatterox have. Since he was unsuccessful, he now wants to get hold of the two dinosaurs, as he hopes for such great scientific fame. He is supported by his friend, the reporter Schnudel.
• Brunhilde Whip Bang: She is the evil director of the Zunder Circus. According to her name, she is very strict with her circus animals. Therefore, paying viewers usually stay away from their performances. However, she is sure that she can make a lot of money with a living dinosaur.

Remake

In the new version of 2016, some points of the story were changed. Tina has a twin brother named Tobi, who is also a real dinosaur expert. Also, it was not Professor Karacho but a friend of Uncle Nikki who invented the animal language translation computer. Tina's parents are also not staying in America here, but in Japan. In addition, Bronti no longer looks like a green stegosaurus, but rather resembles an orange sauropod .
