Brooklands screen ( English "Brooklands" or "Brookland screen" ) is the name for an extremely small windshield on open racing cars. The name comes from the Brooklands circuit in Surrey .

The disc is shaped roughly like a half oval and only has a holder at the bottom. Usually it can also be folded forward into a horizontal position using a side mechanism. The Brooklands pane reduces the vehicle's aerodynamic drag . However, the protection of the driver or passenger sitting behind it is reduced to a minimum. For many decades, the Brooklands disc was also an important design feature for fast, open-top cars used in motorsport.
