Browne Iceland is an uninhabited island in the Qikiqtaaluk Region in the Canadian territory of Nunavut .

It is 4.4 kilometers long, 1.5 kilometers wide and 150 meters high. Like the neighboring islands of Somerville Island and Griffith Island , Browne Island is located off the southwest coast of Cornwallis Island , from which it is 7 kilometers away.

The island was discovered on August 29, 1820 by William Parry on his first voyage in search of the Northwest Passage and named after Henry Browne, a supporter of his expedition.
