Products

X-ray diffractometer (XRD)

The company manufactures full protection X-ray diffractometers. Full protection means two things: On the one hand, it prevents the user from coming into contact with the open X-ray beam when he is e.g. B. brings in samples inside the device and on the other hand that the generated X-rays penetrate to the outside. This is achieved, among other things, by using thick lead plates or lead-containing x-ray safety glass.

Diffractometer D4 / D8

Representatives of the X-ray diffractometers are the D8 and the D4. The D8 is a laboratory device that allows complex analysis setups to be implemented. The D4 is a device for automation that enables a quick sequence of measurements with a large sample memory.

Many detectors from 0D (point) to 1D (line) up to 2D (area) allow extensive coverage of a wide variety of measurement tasks. In principle, everything can be measured with any detector, but the effort required varies depending on the task. About the different opening sizes and resolutions of the detectors can, for. B. Point measurements with a 1D detector can be carried out particularly quickly.

Application areas:

NANOSTAR / N8 Horizon

Special diffractometer for small angle scattering . Small angles can be resolved particularly well over a very long beam path.

Application areas:

  • Small-angle scattering SAXS

D8 FABLINE

Special diffractometer for quality assurance in chip production. It is possible to test a complete chip wafer.

D2 PHASER

Compact table-top diffractometer for powder / mineral phase analysis. Thanks to the integrated PC and the one-dimensional detector, fast material analysis is possible almost anywhere.

X-ray spectrometer (XRF)

Radiation protection is easier to implement because the user cannot come into direct contact with the radiation. The sample is brought into a room (measuring chamber) that is not visible to the user by a robot and the radiation is only switched on there after the room has been sealed. On the other hand, it is more difficult to create a suitable environment for fluorescence, since “air components” such as oxygen and nitrogen can also fluoresce. Usually this is achieved by a vacuum or a special "non-fluorescent" gas.

X-ray spectrometer S4 / S8

The current device series from Bruker AXS is the S series, consisting of S4 and S8, which can be used for automated production lines. Both devices consist of a large sample magazine for reference samples and storage space for samples from the production plant.

Technology:

X-ray spectrometer S2

The S2 spectrometer is a tabletop device for small laboratories and, unlike the other spectrometers, has an energy-resolving detector. Thanks to the integrated touch screen, the device can be used without an additional PC.

Technology:

Handheld spectrometer S1

The smallest spectrometer variant is a handheld that can directly analyze surface components in the form of a pistol. Due to its compactness, there is only one small generator with a low X-ray output, which is completely sufficient for the application area of the handheld.

Laboratory automation

Many manufacturers of chemical products (cement manufacturers, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals) need quality assurance options. This includes ensuring the concentration of the ingredients and the composition of the content.

For this, z. B. D4 and S4 are interconnected, which enables a quantitative and qualitative analysis of a sample. If one recognizes z. For example, if the sample contains too much or too little of a component, the process chain can be adjusted "live" so that the end product can be produced and delivered in the correct framework.
