location

Brunn is about two kilometers southwest of the center of the town of Dingolfing in the Isar-Inn hill country .

history

A corner in Brunn is mentioned as early as 1329. The Ecker von Lichteneck tried to build a Hofmark here around 1500 , but the resistance of the caretaker Oswald Eder von Pöring meant that the castle, which was already under construction, had to be demolished.

When the community was formed, Brunn became part of the Frauenbiburg community in 1818 and was incorporated into the town of Dingolfing with its northern parts of the community as part of the regional reform in Bavaria in 1972. In 1987 Brunn had 90 inhabitants.

Attractions

  • Filial church of St. Giles. The small Gothic church building from the 14th / 15th centuries Century arose on an artificially raised hill. The hill complex probably goes back to a watchtower that was located at this point before the church was built.
