Bruno Asch plant
The Bruno-Asch-Anlage is a park in Frankfurt-Höchst . It has been named after the SPD local politician and former Supreme Mayor Bruno Asch (1890–1940) since 1990 .
park
The complex was laid out in 1926 in the Expressionist style as a train station . It was a representative eye-catcher for all travelers at the Höchst train station . The facility between the train station and Dalbergplatz was used as a grain field during World War II . After the war, an underground bunker was built here.
The only expressionist park in Frankfurt was placed under monument protection in 2003 despite its desolate condition. The park was restored from 2010 to 2013 for an amount of 650,000 euros. The renovation of the well cost an additional 230,000 euros.
Seiler fountain
The center of the facility is the Seiler fountain. The Frankfurt sculptor Paul Seiler (1873–1934) created a hexagonal fountain from four water bowls arranged one above the other. The top of the fountain forms a terminal stone in the form of a stylized artichoke .
