Viktor Brailovsky

Victor Brailovsky ( Hebrew ויקטור בריילובסקי; * December 27, 1935 in Moscow ) is a former Israeli politician .

Life

As a Soviet citizen he was a refusenik from 1972 to 1987, he was a prisoner of Zion from 1981 to 1984 . In 1987 he was allowed to immigrate to Israel, where he worked as a professor of mathematics and computer science at Tel Aviv University . In the 15th and 16th legislative periods he was a member of the Knesset : 1999-2006 for the Schinui party and 2006 for the Hetz ( secular Zionists ). In 2004 he was Minister for Science and Technology .
