Bruno Lüthi

Bruno Lüthi is a now emeritus Swiss professor for experimental physics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , who dealt with solid state physics.

Lüthi received his doctorate in 1959 at the ETH Zurich and was then a post-doctoral student at the University of Chicago in 1960/61 . From 1961 to 1966 he was at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory in Rüschlikon , Switzerland. From 1966 to 1976 he was a professor at Rutgers University and then from 1977 until his retirement in 2000 at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.

In 1993 he was a Robert Wichard Pohl Prize winner .
