Gross National Income Categorization (World Bank)
The World Bank divides states into four levels of gross national income . These economic status are:

- Low Income Country
- The term low-income country or country with low income ( low-wage country ) refers to those countries whose gross national income is per capita per year is less than 1,045 US dollars (USD). Examples include (as of 2015) Afghanistan , Bangladesh , Gambia , Haiti , Nepal , Tajikistan .
- Lower Middle Income Country
- The term lower middle income country or middle-income country in the lower part refers to those countries whose gross national income per capita is between 1,046 USD and 4,125 USD.
- Upper Middle Income Country
- Upper Middle Income Country or middle-income country in the upper part refers to those countries whose gross national income per capita is 4,126 to 12,745 US dollars. [1] Examples include (as of 2015) Mexico , Venezuela , Iraq , Algeria . [2]
- High Income Country
- High Income Country or country with high income ( high wage country ) describes those countries whose gross national income per capita is over USD 12,745.
