Brychius is a genus of beetles from the family of water treaders (Haliplidae). It occurs in Europe with two types, in Central Europe Brychius elevatus is common.

features

The beetles differ from the other genera of the treaders in their body shape. Your pronotum is square and broadest in front of the center or has parallel edges. The basal lines are extended to the front to the front edge. The cover wings are elongated and ovate, they lack an unpunctured sutural strip.

Occurrence and way of life

The animals live in slow flowing streams.
