Buchanan Island is an uninhabited island in Australia's Northern Territory . It is 52.7 kilometers from mainland Australia. The island is counted among the Tiwi Islands .

The island is very flat. The highest point is only one meter above sea level.

The island is surrounded by a sandy beach.
