Buddha factory
The Buddha-Fabrik is the Buddhist center in Braunschweig at Kramerstraße 18 in the western ring area . The carrier is Diamond Way Buddhism .
history
In 2003, Braunschweig Buddhists bought the old iron foundry in Kramerstrasse with 1800 m² of usable space, which they renovated on a voluntary basis. There were u. a. Thaye Dorje , Ole Nydahl and Gyaltsen Rinpoche.
Premises
In addition to the meditation hall ( gompa ), the facility also houses the Buddhist Logos Buchverlag, a statue-making studio, the clubhouse and apartments and guest rooms.
Gompa
The focus is on the freely usable 60 m² gompa . There mats, seat cushions and malas are provided for meditation . On an elevation in the front of the room are statues of Buddhist personalities such as the 16th Karmapa or Siddhartha Gautama .
