Bugbear Entertainment Oy is a Finnish video game development studio based in Helsinki that was founded in 2000 by Janne Alanenpää. The company is known for the FlatOut range and for Wreckfest . In November 2018, the company was majority acquired by THQ Nordic .

history

Bugbear Entertainment was founded in 2000 by Janne Alanenpää in Helsinki. On November 14, 2018, THQ Nordic announced that it had acquired 90% of Bugbear, with the option of acquiring the remaining 10% later. At that time, Bugbear had 18 employees and was managed by Alanenpää. Bugbear has had 21 employees since June 2019.
