Buka Entertainment is a Russian video game - publisher based in Moscow . It was acquired by the 1C Company in July 2008 . Buka Entertainment was founded in 1993 and has published titles such as Red Comrades Series , Pathologic , Echelon , Collapse and others.
In the first few years Buka sold game consoles, for example from Sega , Nintendo and Sony . In 1996 the company released its first game - Russian Roulette - which sold 15,000 times in the CIS countries.
Buka was the first publisher to start selling games with minimal hardware in the CIS countries; this was then picked up by other Russian publishers and later became the standard.
