The Bulletin of the American Mathematical Society (BAMS) is a peer-reviewed mathematical journal from the American Mathematical Society that has been published quarterly since 1891. It is therefore older than the AMS itself and initially appeared (before the AMS was founded) as the Bulletin of the New York Mathematical Society.

Review articles on contemporary research are published. It also includes reviews and previously shorter abstracts of extensive research published in other journals (such as the Annals of Mathematics ).

The editor-in-chief is Susan Friedlander. The editorial board also includes Emmanuel Candès , Richard Durrett , Daniel S. Freed , Edward Frenkel , Irene M. Gamba , Mark Goresky , Andrew Granville , Robert Guralnick , Bryna Kra , Barry Mazur , Andrew Ranicki , Christoph Thiele , Yuri Tschinkel and Michael Wolf (2016).

In 2015/2016 the Bulletin had an Impact Factor of 2.303 and in 2006 of 2.390 (at that time No. 3 according to Impact Factor), making it one of the leading mathematics journals. In the period from 1981 to 2006, it ranks 6th according to Impact Factor.

Almost all booklets are freely accessible online.
