Structure and tasks

The Federal / State Working Group on Nature Conservation, Landscape Management and Recreation is a committee of the Conference of Environment Ministers (UMK).

Members of the LANA are representatives of the highest state authorities for nature conservation and landscape management as well as representatives of the federal government. The LANA usually meets twice a year, well in advance of the meetings of the Heads of Office Conference or the UMK. The LANA is chaired by a federal state; every two years the chairmanship changes between the federal states in alphabetical order.
