The Union of Polish Patriots (Polish Związek Patriotów Polskich , ZPP) was a political organization founded in March 1943 by Polish Communists residing in the Soviet Union .

He formed the political background for the establishment of Polish military units in the USSR under General Zygmunt Berling and carried out massive propaganda among the compatriots who were resettled, fled or deported in the country. In July 1944 he helped found the Krajowa Rada Narodowa (National Council, KRN) and the Polski Komitet Wyzwolenia Narodowego (Polish Committee for National Liberation, PKWN), the most important organizations led by the communists in early post-war Poland. Until its dissolution in 1946, the ZPP was mainly responsible for looking after Poles living in the Soviet Union and preparing for their return (“ repatriation ”) to Poland.

In addition to Berling, Wanda Wasilewska and Aleksander Zawadzki were among the leading representatives of the organization, which was promoted by Stalin .
