The German Federal Aid Regulation has regulated the granting of aid for civil servants and former federal civil servants and for pension recipients since 2009 .

It is specified in a general administrative regulation issued by the Federal Ministry of the Interior.

Aid is provided in the event of illness (Sections 12–36) and in need of care (Sections 37–40) as well as in special cases expressly mentioned by the ordinance, e.g. B. Early detection, pregnancy and childbirth granted.
