The castle was built between 1873 and 1876 as Villa Marie Therese by the architect Heinrich Adam on behalf of Duke Philipp von Württemberg , who then gave it to his wife . In 1955, the castle came to the Austrian state through the State Treaty . Embedded in a spacious school park with a pond, the school buildings are also equipped with sports fields and a dining room. The nearby district sports hall is used for sports lessons in winter.
