Federal Association of German Student Management Consultants
The Bundesverband Deutscher Studentischer Unternehmensberatungen e. V. (BDSU) is a German umbrella association of student management consultancies .
The BDSU, which was founded in 1992 and is based in Bonn, currently has 32 student management consultancies in Germany, with a total of around 2,200 students. They advise companies in almost all business areas in independent consulting projects.
Since its foundation, it has been committed to spreading the idea of student management consulting at universities as well as in business and the public. For this purpose, in addition to its existing members, the BDSU also supports new student management consultancies in setting up in order to ensure the quality standard and to lead the student management consultancies into the association in the long term.

The BDSU is a member of the European umbrella association JADE - the European Confederation of Junior Enterprises - and of the Association of German Student Initiatives , the former Cologne Round.
Quality management in the BDSU
Every year the member initiatives of the BDSU are audited in accordance with the QM guidelines . To ensure objectivity, the audits are carried out by two auditors. The guidelines essentially cover four areas: training and further education of the members, implementation of project work, knowledge management and club management.
BDSU meeting
Association meetings lasting several days take place quarterly to promote the exchange of knowledge. In addition to the internal association work, the contact between the student advisors and companies is in the foreground at the BDSU congresses: Companies offer fifteen to twenty workshops. There are also company presentations.
BDSU working group meetings take place in March and September with around 100 participants. At the same time, the exchange of experience and knowledge among the member initiatives is promoted through best practice and lesson learned project presentations, among other things. Every year in May / June the BDSU strategy meeting takes place on questions of the long-term development and orientation of the BDSU. The BDSU meetings are each organized by a different member initiative.
Alumni and funding organization BDSU Alumni eV
The alumni and funding organization BDSU Alumni eV has existed since 2008. The alumni stay in contact during their further professional life. Sometimes at congresses of the BDSU as well as at their own events, and are at the side of the active association. Former student management consultants who were active members of a student management consultancy of the BDSU can become members.
