Federal Association of German Distribution Companies

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Federal Association of German Sales Companies eV (BDV) represents as a professional association companies that carry out sales trips , sales trips and sales events (better known as so-called advertising and coffee trips ).

Self-presentation

According to its own information, the association represents the interests of the majority of companies in the sales event sector . However, the BDV does not name its members , which makes it impossible to verify this statement. According to its self-portrayal, the BDV sees itself as an industry control institution, as a contact for media and political institutions and for participants in promotional trips and sales events. Especially after events that bring coffee trips into the public interest of the media, the BDV regularly reports in press releases .

The BDV is on the list of the associations registered with the German Bundestag and their representatives ( lobby list ).

criticism

Although the BDV regularly announces help for those injured on coffee trips, no specific actions by the association against so-called "black sheep" in the industry have become known. Experts assume that the vast majority of all sales trips are dubious, not just isolated "black sheep", as presented by the BDV.
