Federal Association of Production Schools

The Federal Association of Production Schools eV (BVPS) is an association with its headquarters and office in Hanover .

He advocates the establishment and further development of production schools throughout Germany and strives for their recognition as a separate form of education. Around 100 institutions are currently organized in the association, which was founded in 2007.

history

The federal association emerged from the working group Production Schools North , in which production schools from Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania had come together since 2005. Founded on February 1, 2007 in Wolgast .

Until September 2010, Thomas Johanssen, founder and long-time director of the Altona Production School , was chairman of the board. In December 2010 Martin Mertens, Kassel production school BuntStift, took over this function.

Organs are the board of directors and the general assembly.

The BVPS is the publisher of the "Quality Standards for Production Schools" and the predecessor of the "Production School Principles", which are intended to safeguard educational standards in production schools.
