The Federal Association of Energy Buyers e. V. (VEA) is a German interest group that advises medium-sized companies and the public sector on all issues relating to energy cost reduction and energy management .

With over 4,500 members, the VEA is the largest energy interest group among German medium-sized companies.

The head office is in Hanover. There are further offices in Herne, Koblenz, Ludwigshafen, Freiburg, Finnentrop, Nuremberg, Munich, Cottbus and Erfurt.

The association supports its members with numerous services in the areas of market transparency , procurement of electricity and gas, controlling and monitoring as well as energy efficiency . In addition to providing advice and information for companies, the VEA advocates fair energy prices and the strengthening of German medium-sized companies in international competition as a lobby group for its members. Continuous observation of energy price developments and a large network of contacts in politics and business form the basis for this.
