The BVFK - Bundesverband der Fernsehkameraleute e.V. is a professional interest group .

The association founded on April 15, 2009 in Gauting near Munich with headquarters in Berlin has more than 500 members. It includes companies from the film and television industry as sponsoring members.

The association is in active dialogue with television broadcasters, equipment manufacturers, production companies and politicians. Until September 2017 he was a member of Verband Die Filschaffenden , the federal association of film and television workers' associations.

goals and tasks

In the association, cameramen from the field of television in Germany have come together to work together for a stable and secure future of the profession.

The association is a platform for the professional and professional interest representation of full-time cameramen as well as crane operators , steadicam and remote operators in Germany. The association is also open to cooperation with the professional group of camera assistants .

The aim of the association is to be politically and economically independent, to further promote the experience, knowledge and competence of the television cameramen and to contribute to a sustainable design of the work and production field.

Since it was founded in 2009, the association and its members have been campaigning nationally for the best possible social security for cameramen in Germany. This includes clarifying the status issue as well as promoting solidarity among colleagues.

Further fields of work are social security and sustainability, occupational safety, security and constant further development of quality through education and training at the highest technical level.
