Bunga Hitam

Bunga Hitam (dt. Black flower) is an Indonesian punk band that was formed in 2000. Musically she is mainly influenced by European and American punk bands. The ideological and political influence of the group was largely shaped by the original line-up of the band, resistant people who formed before the end of the Indonesian Suharto regime (1998).

Today Bunga Hitam is in Indonesia for her lyrics, which are directed against oppression and authorities, especially for the songs "Setara" (Eng. "Equality"), "Negaraku Penjaraku" (Eng. "My State, My Prison") , as well as for the song "Lintas Agama", which stands for the agreement of the various religions of Indonesia.

In 2010 and 2014 Bunga Hitam played various concerts on the Indonesian main island Java , together with the German punk band Narcolaptic from Hamburg .
