Buni culture

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Buni culture is a previously little known prehistoric culture, which was mainly native to the northwestern coastal regions of Java and whose heyday was in the first millennium AD .

So far, several sites have been located, most of which are robbed cemeteries . None of them has yet been systematically excavated. The pottery of the Buni culture is similar to that of the Sa-Huynh-Kalany style , which is known from the South China Sea . There were shards with a roulette pattern that come from India . This ceramic shows patterns embossed with a cylinder . There were also single-colored glass beads that were probably imported from there.
