Castle and chateau tour
The castle and palace tour is a 135 km long bicycle circuit in the southern Münsterland . As a tourist bike route, it connects numerous castles, moated castles and farms in the region between Stever and Lippe .
From the medieval Vischering Castle in Lüdinghausen you can get to Nordkirchen Castle , the "Westphalian Versailles ", to Westerwinkel Castle near Ascheberg and the castle tower in Davensberg with its torture chamber. You can reach the Venner Moor on scenic paths through the municipality of Senden , for example through the Bürgerpark . Old half-timbered houses and the Gothic town hall are well worth a stroll through Werne . Other attractions in the region are the Olfen wild horses and Heck cattle in the Steveraue nature reserve and the Seppenrad rose garden.
