Štramberk Castle
The castle Štramberk ( Strahlenberg ) is located in Štramberk in Nový Jičín in the Czech Republic .
The castle , whose round tower Trůba dominates over the town of Štramberk , was first mentioned in 1359. It was built by the Moravian margrave Johann Heinrich , brother of Emperor Charles IV. The castle was abandoned in the second half of the 16th century. In 1783 the front of the castle disintegrated and the stones of the castle were used as building material.
