The castle Büschfeld even lock Büschfeld called, is an Outbound castle in the district Büschfeld (Eisenbahnstraße) the city of Wadern in Merzig-Wadern in Saarland .
The first mention of the castle took place in 1322 by the Archbishop Baldwin of Luxembourg , the investiture took place the "Castrum buses box" to the vassal John of Chambley and his wife Beatrix.
The further historical development is connected with the local history of Büschfeld until it fell into the possession of the Schmanck family in 1823, who built the Schmanck-Pantenburg house from the quarry stones, which still exists today. The last remains of the castle were removed in 1897 when the Lebach – Nonnweiler state railway was built and in 1903 when the Merzig-Büschfeld railway was built .
The Burgstall , located south of the Eisenbahnstraße, is barely recognizable and shows only small remains of a shallow ditch .
