The castle Medard , even Romans waiting called, is a Outbound Höhenburg ( Wallburg ) at 300  m above sea level. NN above the local community Medard in the district of Kusel in Rhineland-Palatinate .

Presumably the hill fort was built by the Celts as a refuge . Remnants of the ring wall and moat are still preserved from the former castle complex.
