The castle Schwenden is one of two dialed hilltop castles at 650 meters above sea level. NHN in the area of the Schwenden residential area in the Ratzenried district of the Argenbühl municipality in the Ravensburg district ( Baden-Württemberg ). It was about 600 meters west-southwest of the place.
The castle was owned by the Lords of Schwenden and is first mentioned in 1309 with Heinrich von Schwenden. Today a memorial stone by Otto Merkt from 1938 reminds of the former castle complex .
