The castle Unterwössingen even surge Unterwössingen called, was built by the Lords of Wössingen (those "of Wesingen", presumably vassals of the Marquises) as Wasserburg built. The castle was located at the lower mill (field name "Burgäcker") in what is now the Wössingen district of the Walzbachtal municipality in the Karlsruhe district in Baden-Württemberg and was demolished in the 16th century after it had lost its importance early on. The Margraves of Baden were also former owners . Nothing has been preserved from the castle complex, which can no longer be precisely located.
