Burgas and the sea
Burgas and the Sea ( Bulgarian Бургас и морето / Burgas i moreto) is an annual summer music festival in the city of Burgas , which is on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria . The music festival is designed for contemporary Bulgarian music and has a competitive character with awards. The festival was first held in 1973 under the name Песни за Бургас, морето и неговите трудови хора ("Songs about Burgas, the sea and its workers").
The music festival takes place in the first week of August on the city's summer stage (also called summer theater), in the Burgas Sea Garden . The festival is under the patronage of the mayor of Burgas .
