Burghard Dedner

Burghard Dedner (* 1942 ) is a German specialist in German and was a professor at the Philipps University of Marburg .

Life

Dedner studied German, history, philosophy and Romance studies in Berlin , Tübingen and Aix-en-Provence . He received his doctorate in 1968. After visiting professorships in the United States , he was Professor of Modern German Literature at the University of Marburg from 1976 to 2007. Since 1981 he has headed the Georg Büchner Research Center and has since been the editor of the Georg Büchner Yearbook .
