The castle wall of Pleetz , a district of the municipality of Datzetal in the Mecklenburg Lake District , is a Slavic castle wall . It is located in today's manor park of the place.

The circular system dates from the Old Slavic period of the 8th / 9th centuries. Century. The visible remains of the castle hill have an area of about 80 meters by 60 meters. Due to its location in the Datzen lowland , the complex was naturally protected. No ramparts have been preserved from the castle complex, but you can still see a kind of plateau here, which is now used primarily as a horse paddock. The defense system was located in the tribal area of the Wilzen and may have served as a refuge or as an aristocratic residence.
