The Slavic rampart of Reddershof , a district of the municipality of Selpin in the Rostock district , is located to the west of the village. The area is popularly known as the "Burggarten". The Slavs built their castle on a natural spur that protruded into a wide valley . There was probably a wall only in the south on the land side. The remaining sides were only protected with simpler palisades or hedges . It is not known in which Slavic era this fortification is to be classified, as no excavations have taken place yet. Reading finds indicate a refuge that existed in the Old to Middle Slavic period from the 8th to 10th centuries.
